The Past Continuous tense describes actions that were happening at a specific moment in the past, or interrupted by another action.

الماضي المستمر يُستخدم لوصف أفعال كانت تحدث في لحظة معينة في الماضي أو قاطعها فعل آخر.

When to Use

Use for actions in progress in the past, interrupted actions, and background description.

يستخدم للأفعال المستمرة في الماضي، الأفعال المقطوعة أو وصف الخلفية.

How to Form

Subject + was/were + verb-ing.

الفاعل + was/were + الفعل+ing.
